sensual pleasures

a prayer, yes,
that contemplative, centered space,
where ones own truth is sought,
reflecting on the integrity of the path we follow,
then after prayer,
might the path lead to experience of,
the sensual pleasures of spring,
the rich earthy fragrances of the unfolding of buds and leaves,
the sounds of birds and spring peepers,
the sights of light that give such hope,
the feel of warmth.
